Oh What??? The CAVs beat the Lakers? THAT's RIGHT!

Okay, so I was complaining a lil' bit about why the teams I follow are losing. Yayayayayayay! No longer. The CAVs are the Eastern Conference top team. Last time on December 25th, the Cavaliers came to play the Lakers at their home court and beat them by a large margin. After that, the CAVs had several road games where they beat all teams save 1--the Utah Jazz (I know, right?!). They are on FIRE!

Yesterday, one of the most anticipated game (maybe a clue-in on the NBA finals??? game in June) was played. This time around, the Lakers played at the Quickens Arena (the CAVs home court). Pau Gasol is back from his injury, Andrew Bynum and Shannon Brown seem to be doing great, Kobe's injured but they managed to be the top team in the League, this should be a great game.

WAS IT EVER! For the first half, the Lakers dominated the score board. They kept the lead for a while and I was definitely getting frustrated (don't get me wrong, I also like the Lakers--just not as much as the CAVs) the Cavaliers CANNOT lose to their league rival at the home court!!!!

Second half--CAVs dominated the score board. King James (Lebron James) dominated the court by making great 3-point shots and field goals after field goals. I also found out that my favorite Cavaliers player (Mo Williams) is going to be out for about 4-6 weeks (boo!), so they put in Gibson as his replacement. Throughout second half, the CAVS were scoring left and right. Then the Lakers would catch up and then the tension would build all over again. I really was afraid that they would go into overtime. Luckily, Laker's Pau Gasol kept missing shots and Kobe Bryant kept missing his second free throws. This put the CAVs in the lead. Finally, finally, finally the buzzer rang to end 4th quarter and yep, that's right--CAVs won!!!! Woohooooooo!

I think what makes this victory so great is the fact that my brother-in-law would always root for the opposing team that plays against the Cavaliers. He knows how much I like them and he would always talk smack. Of course, at the end of the game, I was reacted in a civil manner about my team winning. Haha Sam! In yo' face!
