A Really Bad Week...

I'm sure you've already heard last week, Lebron James left the CAVS to go to the Heat. I was disappointed and a bit angry at first. But you know what? He's right. He's been with the CAVS for 7 years and his dream of getting a championship ring never came into fruition. So why not do what's best for you and go elsewhere? I AM glad however, that he decided to join D-Wade. Dwyane Wade is awesome. I'll reserve my judgement on
Chris Bosch, though.

MAXIMUM RIDE series

O.M.G.

Alright, so during the 10 days of vacation (hah! can you detect the sarcasm?) I began reading the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. O M fricking G!!!!!! I just finished reading Fang (book 6) earlier this morning (hence the extreme baggage under the eyes -_- ) and I LOVE IT!!!! Book 1 hooked me in and the others are good--but #6!?!?! FANG, I <3 YOU! It was so good that I cried along with the usual giggles I make when reading this series. I feel like I've lived with Max since the beginning and have gone through all the craziness that's happened to her and the rest of the flock. AND what's up with Dylan?! Dylan, go away and everything can be okay again. Waaaah, I'm ready for book 7, like NOW!

Artest's Game-Winning Shot--Saaaaaaaweeeeeeeet!

3 seconds left, Lakers and Suns are tied at 101, Lakers in possession of the ball...and Kobe misses the shot--air ball. Fisher, Artest, and Richardson goes after the ball but Artest's feisty self grabs the ball and taps it in...does it go in? YES!!! And the crowd goes wild, jumping up and down and Artest can't believe he made the shot, he turns around and embraces Bryant while the rest of his teammates rushed up to him, patting him, jumping on him, heck--even Odom jumped on Artest, wrapping his 7-foot frame off of Artest's back. Hahaha. Wow, I was watching the game with my sister, brother-in-law, and my 3-year old nephew. We hung on and hoped Kobe would make the winning shot, you could hear our hopes start to deflate when he missed it because the possibility of an OT was overwhelmingly likely. The second Artest made the shot, cheers went up. Screams were made, my little nephew and I hugged, high-fived, and pounded fists...The NBA, where families come together, LOL.

OUTRAGED

I am angry with what's going on in the state of Arizona and with what's not being done with the prosecution of BP in the role with the oil spill. They need to be criminally charged.

WHAT'S UP WITH ALL THE KIDS WANTING THE CAVS TO LOSE...?

I understand that this is Lakers territory, but every single day, I get at least 3 people telling me the CAVS are going to lose and laughing in my face and cheering for the team they play against. Even my family members want the CAVS to lose. What's so bad about them, anyway? But I'm taking it all in stride and just smiling because they'll understand when LBJ and the rest of the team gets the trophy and their rings... (^_^)

Dear Higher Being...Please Let the CAVS win!!!!!

Tonight is game 6 for the CAVS and Celtics @ Boston. Boston is leading 3-2, which means that if the Cavaliers lose this game, they are out of the playoffs. AaaaaAAAargGGGGggggHhhHhHH! They cannot lose!!!!! (;_;) <-----crying face. They've worked too hard to go home so early. The Celtics deserve to lose because they have a lot of players with poor sportsmanship and bad attitudes. C'mon CAVS--you're better than they are!!!

Tired & Cold! >:0(

It's been about a week and a half since Vacation started and I HAVEN'T STARTED IT YET!!!!! I helped out the Bookroom 3 days last week, had to report to jury duty this Monday, and Thursday and today--I'm at LAAMS library (cool thing is that I'm getting paid for the 2 days--yay!). But I am soooooo tired. Plus, this crazy cold weather is not helping! On a brighter note--can't wait for my trip to Seattle! Whoop whoop!

CAVS >:0P

Okay CAVS, I understand the defeat against the Nuggets (although I'm pretty sure it would have gone onto OT if Lebron hadn't slipped); I completely DID NOT get the loss against the Bobcats (huh???) nor the loss at Orlando--what is going on here? Was it a bad move to trade in Big Z for Jamison?!? I say, BRING BACK ILGAUSKAS!!!!!!!!!

So...all's I'm saying is the losing streak better end with the Hornets tonight!

Oh What??? The CAVs beat the Lakers? THAT's RIGHT!

Okay, so I was complaining a lil' bit about why the teams I follow are losing. Yayayayayayay! No longer. The CAVs are the Eastern Conference top team. Last time on December 25th, the Cavaliers came to play the Lakers at their home court and beat them by a large margin. After that, the CAVs had several road games where they beat all teams save 1--the Utah Jazz (I know, right?!). They are on FIRE!

Yesterday, one of the most anticipated game (maybe a clue-in on the NBA finals??? game in June) was played. This time around, the Lakers played at the Quickens Arena (the CAVs home court). Pau Gasol is back from his injury, Andrew Bynum and Shannon Brown seem to be doing great, Kobe's injured but they managed to be the top team in the League, this should be a great game.

WAS IT EVER! For the first half, the Lakers dominated the score board. They kept the lead for a while and I was definitely getting frustrated (don't get me wrong, I also like the Lakers--just not as much as the CAVs) the Cavaliers CANNOT lose to their league rival at the home court!!!!

Second half--CAVs dominated the score board. King James (Lebron James) dominated the court by making great 3-point shots and field goals after field goals. I also found out that my favorite Cavaliers player (Mo Williams) is going to be out for about 4-6 weeks (boo!), so they put in Gibson as his replacement. Throughout second half, the CAVS were scoring left and right. Then the Lakers would catch up and then the tension would build all over again. I really was afraid that they would go into overtime. Luckily, Laker's Pau Gasol kept missing shots and Kobe Bryant kept missing his second free throws. This put the CAVs in the lead. Finally, finally, finally the buzzer rang to end 4th quarter and yep, that's right--CAVs won!!!! Woohooooooo!

I think what makes this victory so great is the fact that my brother-in-law would always root for the opposing team that plays against the Cavaliers. He knows how much I like them and he would always talk smack. Of course, at the end of the game, I was reacted in a civil manner about my team winning. Haha Sam! In yo' face!
